Vauxhall Car Sales in Europe

Vauxhall Motors is one of the oldest automakers in the UK. Founded in Vauxhall, London in 1857, it was originally an iron foundry. Later, the company produced marine engines and pumps. Then in 1903, Vauxhall produced its first working automobile. A few years later, they offer them to the public.

As a small company, Vauxhall was forced to make its name and reputation through competition. Most of the early models were entered in races where they performed quite well. With an average speed of 46 miles per hour, they were years ahead of the competition. The free advertising that the company received from these victories increased sales in short order.

By the end of the First World War, almost all of the cars that Vauxhall made were sports cars. But all that changed when General Motors (GM) bought the company for 1.8 million pounds in 1925. You see, GM did not want vauxhall car sales to be based on luxury or speed. Rather, they wanted passenger cars that would appeal to the average European. (more...)

Some Good Reasons for Using Second Hand Classifieds

Searching through the second hand car classifieds can be an excellent way to pick up a second hand car. Traditionally coming out once a week in paper form, these days the second hand car classifieds can now also be accessed on line so there is a constant turnover of new cars and vehicles coming onto the market each day.

One advantage of buying through the second hand classifieds is that you can quickly get to see the car that is being offered for sale. Because the classified ads are essentially local, you should be able to find a car within easy reach and get to talk to the seller and ask questions beforehand.

Despite the emergence of online auction sites such as eBay , the second hand classifieds offer the buyer much more protection. The car will be local to you and you can give it a thorough examination before you decide to buy. When travelling a long way to look at a car, the temptation is to buy it so that the journey is not wasted. When buying from the second hand classifieds, it is easy to walk away because it is more than likely only located a few miles from your house. (more...)

Be Clear On What You Want

Before you start your hunt for a new car it pays to be very clear in your criteria and what you are really looking for in your new car. It is easy to get carried away by the photos in the used car classifieds but if you get caught up in buying a car without thinking you may end up with a dud – not a good idea on such an expensive purchase.

Budget is obviously one of the main criteria, but within the set budget you can usually find so many different types of cars. You have to decide roughly on the maximum miles on the clock that you can accept. Whether it has to be in pristine condition or whether you are looking for reliability over looks.

A prime factor is also manual or automatic, as is diesel or petrol. The size of the car is also extremely important, especially if you have kids or pets to consider. (more...)

Career in Sales

Many people naturally gravitate towards a career in sales. They tend to be a very specific type of person who loves the thrill of making a sale and the adrenalin of closing the deal.

Whether their chosen area is Vauxhall car sales or kitchenware, or the higher prestige sales jobs such as aircraft components or high-end medical components, the character of a sales person is often basically the same.

They are first and foremost persuasive (or at least the successful ones are!). they really have the gift of the gab and love to talk. Whether this is at a market stall or running a presentation for high level management the technique is often the same. (more...)

Should you Buy a Vauxhall?

Though France and Germany were home to most of the early automakers, the UK also had its auto pioneers. One of the oldest automakers in Britain is Vauxhall Motors. Founded in 1857 and named after its hometown, Vauxhall, London, it was originally a foundry. Years later, the company started manufacturing ship engines and pumps.

By the turn of the century, it was obvious that the automobile was the future of transportation. And since Vauxhall already had experience with iron and marine engines, they invested in a project to make their own automobile. The first working model was tested in 1903. A few years later, Vauxhall began selling the car to the public.

As a small car company from the UK, Vauxhall was often overshadowed by it European peers. So, after a few years of less than impressive sales, the owners decided to show the world what their nearly unknown vehicles could do. After a handful of victories in international racing competitions, Vauxhall cars finally began to sell. These early models were known mostly for their speed and endurance. Why should you buy a Vauxhall? When Vauxhall was purchased by American car Giant General Motors in 1925, they were asked to redefine their sales strategy. GM already knew that Vauxhall made quality vehicles, but they also knew that it could not compete with the finest sports and luxury brands in Europe. Instead, they wanted the company to build comfortable passenger cars that would appeal to the average European family. (more...)
